Miles Overview
The HR-V is Honda's smallest SUV, a subcompact that fits neatly between the Fit and the CR-V in size and price. Around town it feels light and nimble, though the engine needs revs to get going and gets vocal when you push it. The cabin is roomier than the exterior suggests, with a clever rear seat that folds flat to swallow tall cargo. Owners report few major issues, though a few have noted door weather stripping that can come loose over time. The Sport trim adds 17-inch alloy wheels, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and a sportier exterior look over the base LX. The 1.8L I4 makes 141 horsepower and pairs with a CVT that keeps the engine humming near peak power when you need to merge or climb. With front-wheel drive the Sport is lighter than the all-wheel-drive version, which helps it feel even more eager through corners.
