Miles Overview
The 3500 is Ram's heavy-duty pickup, built for serious towing and hauling work, and it's the truck you cross-shop with Ford's F-350 and Chevy's Silverado 3500. It drives like a big truck, with a commanding view and a ride that settles down when you've got weight in the bed or a trailer behind it. The cabin is roomy and functional, with the higher trims adding leather and wood trim that make it feel more like a luxury SUV than a work truck. You can get it as a regular cab, crew cab, or mega cab, with a bed long enough for plywood and a payload rating that handles real jobs. No-frills vinyl floors and steel wheels define the Tradesman, which is the work-spec 3500 below the SLT and Big Horn trims. The turbodiesel 6.7L I6 makes 385 horsepower and pulls hard from idle, and rear-wheel drive keeps it simple for a dedicated work truck. The 52-gallon fuel tank is standard here, so you can go a long time between fill-ups when you're towing.
