Miles Overview
The 3500 is Ram's heavy-duty pickup, built to haul and tow far more than the light-duty models. It drives with the solid, planted feel you expect from a heavy-duty truck, and the steering is direct for its size. Expect a firm ride when unloaded, which is the trade-off for the payload capacity it carries. The cabin is roomy and functional, with available luxury touches on higher trims like Laramie and Longhorn. The Tradesman is the work-truck trim, so you get a vinyl floor and manual locks instead of the Big Horn's carpet and power options. It uses a 6.4L I8 paired with an automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive, which means it's built for heavy towing without the complexity of four-wheel drive.
