The Ram 2500 is the heavy-duty half of Ram's pickup range, built for serious towing and hauling duty. It drives with a planted, confident feel, and the steering is direct enough that you always know where the front wheels are. The ride is firm when unladen, which is the trade-off for the payload capacity, but the cabin stays quiet on the highway. Inside, you get a roomy cabin with a straightforward dashboard, and the available crew cab offers generous rear legroom. A vinyl floor and manual windows mark the Tradesman as the work-spec 2500, skipping the chrome and leather of the Big Horn and SLT. The 6.4L I8 and automatic transmission with four-wheel drive give it a planted feel under load, and the 6.4L pulls hard from low rpm.
