Miles Overview
The ProMaster is Ram's full-size van, built for cargo hauling and work duty, competing with the Ford Transit and Mercedes-Benz Sprinter. It drives with a car-like feel for such a big van, and the front-wheel-drive layout keeps the load floor low for easier loading. The ride is firm when empty, which is the trade-off for the payload capacity it carries when loaded. The tall roof versions let you stand up inside, and the rear doors swing wide for easy access with a forklift. The Low Roof saves you over three grand compared to the High Roof, but you give up the ability to stand up inside. Its 3.6L I6 makes 280 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque, and the six-speed automatic pairs with front-wheel drive to keep the load floor low. The standard medium-duty suspension handles a full payload well, but expect a firm ride when the van is empty.
