Miles Overview
The 2500 is Ram's heavy-duty pickup, built to tow and haul well beyond what the 1500 can manage. If you're also looking at a Ford F-250 or Chevy Silverado 2500, you're in the right class. It rides like a proper work truck, with a firm feel that's the trade-off for its serious payload and towing capability. The cabin is roomy and straightforward, with higher trims adding leather and a bigger touchscreen. A one-tone vinyl floor and manual windows distinguish the Tradesman trim, which is the no-nonsense work-spec 2500. With a 5.7L V8, automatic transmission, and four-wheel drive, the Tradesman handles heavy loads without fuss. Expect a stiff highway ride when empty, which is the trade-off for the truck's 9,300-pound max payload.
