Miles Overview
The 2016 Ram 1500 is a full-size half-ton pickup that squares off against the Ford F-150, Chevrolet Silverado, and Toyota Tundra. On the road, the Ram 1500 feels composed and stable, with steering that is accurate for a truck of its size. The available air suspension delivers a remarkably smooth ride, soaking up bumps that would jolt other pickups. Inside, the cabin is spacious and quiet, with available leather upholstery and a large touchscreen that make it feel more upscale than its price suggests. The Tradesman is Ram's work-oriented base trim, giving up some creature comforts for a lower starting price than the SLT, Big Horn, or Laramie. Under the hood is a 3.6L I6 sending power to two-wheel drive, which keeps it simple for work sites and everyday use without the weight of a transfer case.
