2013 RAM 3500 Tradesman

This is Ram's heavy-duty one-ton pickup, the one you step up to when you need serious towing and payload capacity. It drives like a big truck, with a firm ride and a commanding view of the road, and it's happiest when it's working. The cabin is roomy and functional, with available leather and a touchscreen in higher trims, but the base models keep things simple. Insurance and registration run higher than a half-ton, and you'll budget for diesel upkeep if you go that route. The Tradesman is the work-truck trim, so you get vinyl floors and a simple radio instead of the Big Horn's chrome and convenience items. The 6.7L I8 makes 383 horsepower and 400 lb-ft of torque, paired with a six-speed automatic and four-wheel drive, so it pulls heavy trailers without breaking a sweat.
