2023 RAM 3500 Tradesman

The 3500 is Ram's heavy-duty pickup, built to haul and tow far beyond what a half-ton can manage. It drives with the heft you expect from a one-ton truck, and the steering is direct enough to feel confident when you're loaded up. The ride is firm and truck-like when empty, but it settles down nicely once you have weight in the bed or a trailer behind it. The cabin is roomy, and the higher trims get genuinely comfortable seats and a big touchscreen that's easy to use. The Tradesman is the work-truck trim, so you get vinyl floors, steel wheels, and a manual transfer case instead of leather and luxury features. Its 6.4L V8 makes 410 horsepower and pairs with an {automatic transmission} and four-wheel drive, giving you the muscle to pull heavy trailers without breaking a sweat. The manual shift-on-the-fly transfer case is standard here, which is exactly what you want if you regularly switch between pavement and job sites.
