Miles Overview
The 3500 is Ram's heavy-duty pickup, the one you buy when you need to haul a fifth-wheel or a heavy trailer without breaking a sweat. It drives like a big truck, with a commanding view of the road and a ride that's firm when empty, which is the trade for how stable it feels loaded. The cabin is genuinely roomy, and even the base Tradesman has comfortable seats and a straightforward layout that's easy to live with daily. Ram's heavy-duty trucks have a solid reputation for durability, and this generation is no exception, with many owners reporting high-mileage trouble-free service. The Tradesman is the work-truck trim, so you skip the chrome and leather of the Laramie but keep the same heavy-duty chassis and towing capability for thousands less. The Tradesman comes with a vinyl floor and manually locking hubs instead of carpet and push-button four-wheel drive, which makes hosing out the cab after a muddy job site easy.
