Miles Overview
The 3500 is Ram's heavy-duty pickup, the one you step up to when a half-ton just isn't enough for the job. It's the truck you cross-shop with the Ford F-350 and Chevy Silverado 3500 when you're serious about towing. On the road it rides with the steady, planted feel you want from a heavy hauler, and the steering is direct for a truck this size. The cabin is roomy and well put together, with a big touchscreen and comfortable seats that make long hauls easier. The Tradesman is the work-truck starting point in the 3500 lineup, skipping the chrome and leather of the Big Horn and Laramie to keep the price down. The 6.4L V8 makes 410 horsepower and pairs with an eight-speed automatic and four-wheel drive, giving you strong grunt for heavy loads without the diesel premium. It comes on 18-inch steel wheels with all-season tires and a manual shift-on-the-fly transfer case, so you get a no-nonsense setup that's easy to work on.
