Miles Overview
The Journey is Dodge's three-row crossover, a budget-friendly pick for families who need extra seating without the size of a full SUV. It rides smoothly on the highway and handles turns with confidence, though the base engine feels a bit strained on steep hills. Inside, you get a roomy cabin with handy touches like hidden storage under the floor and available built-in coolers in the second row. Owners report few major issues, though some mention a slight transmission slip and a clunking sound on acceleration from a stop. A firmer High Performance Suspension and the 3.6L V6 set the GT apart from the SE and Crossroad trims, which can come with the weaker four-cylinder. With 283 horsepower from the 3.6L V6 and a six-speed automatic, the GT moves the Journey with real authority, though you'll see an EPA-rated 19 mpg combined. The GT's standard Remote-Start System and heated front seats and steering wheel mean the cabin is warm and running before you get in on a cold morning.
