Miles Overview
The Journey is Dodge's seven-seat crossover, a middle ground between a minivan and a typical SUV. The ride stays smooth and composed even with a full load, and the steering feels light and easy around town. Inside, the cabin is comfortable and stylish, with a large touchscreen controlling most functions, though the third row is tight for adults. Owners report few mechanical issues, but some mention interior plastic trim and electronics like Bluetooth acting up over time. The SXT is the base Journey, skipping the Crew's nicer upholstery and the available V6, but it keeps the same spacious cabin and seven-passenger seating as the pricier trims. The 2.4L I4 makes 173 horsepower, and the four-speed automatic keeps it relaxed around town, though you'll want to plan passes carefully on the highway. Fuel economy lands at 22 mpg combined, which is reasonable for a crossover this size, and the standard tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel helps you get comfortable behind the wheel.
