Miles Overview
The Journey is Dodge's seven-seat crossover, a roomier alternative to the Grand Caravan without the minivan doors. It rides smoothly and handles predictably, though the base engine feels a bit sluggish when you need to merge quickly. The cabin is comfortable for five, but the third row is tight for adults and best reserved for kids or extra cargo space. The big touchscreen controls most functions, including audio and climate, and it's easy to use while driving. Stepping up to the SXT from the SE adds alloy wheels, fog lights, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel, plus the option of the more powerful V6. With the 2.4L I4 making 173 horsepower and a four-speed automatic, this SXT is fine around town but needs a firm foot on the throttle for highway merging. The SXT can be ordered with a third-row seat, which is tight for adults but handy for occasional carpool duty.
