Miles Overview
The 2018 Dodge Journey is a three-row crossover that seats up to seven, slotting below the Durango in Dodge's SUV lineup. It competes with the Ford Explorer, Toyota Highlander, and Honda Pilot, though it's priced closer to compact crossovers. The Journey's ride is smooth and secure, and the V6 provides ample power for merging and passing. Inside, the Journey offers comfortable seating, available leather, and handy features like built-in child booster seats and under-floor storage. The SXT sits above the base SE and adds extra standard equipment, but stepping up to the Crossroad or GT gets you the V6 and more style. This SXT has the 2.4L I4 making 173 horsepower, paired with a four-speed automatic and front-wheel drive, which is adequate for around-town driving but feels strained on the highway. The SXT can be ordered with the available V6 and all-wheel drive, which transforms the Journey into a genuinely capable family hauler.
