Miles Overview
The 500 is Fiat's retro-styled city car, a small hatchback that competes with the Mini Cooper and Smart Fortwo. It's a hoot to toss around town, with quick steering and a tiny footprint that makes parking a breeze. Inside, there's surprising headroom up front, but the back seat is tight and best for kids or small loads. Some owners mention a dash rattle and occasional fuse issues, but nothing that keeps the car off the road. A turbocharger and a sport-tuned suspension set the Abarth apart from the standard 500 and the Sport, giving it genuine hot-hatch credentials. Its 1.4L I4 makes 160 horsepower and 170 lb-ft of torque, routed through a five-speed manual to front-wheel drive, and it hits 60 mph in the low seven-second range. The Abarth's standard dual exhaust and unique front and rear fascias give it a purposeful look that matches its sharper handling.
