Miles Overview
The 2500 is the heavy-duty workhorse of the Ram lineup, built for towing and hauling over daily-driver comfort. It gives you commanding visibility and a sense of heft that smaller trucks lack, though the ride is firm and the steering slow by modern standards. The cab is genuinely spacious for three adults, with a broad bench seat and simple controls that are easy to use with work gloves on. The ST is the base trim for the 2500, so you get a vinyl floor and manual windows instead of carpet and power glass, but the chassis and drivetrain are the same heavy-duty pieces as the higher trims. This ST has the 5.9L I6 Cummins diesel with a five-speed manual, and the combination gives you stump-pulling torque from idle that makes towing feel effortless. The four-wheel drive system and solid front axle mean this Ram will go places a two-wheel-drive truck cannot, but the steering is slow and the turning circle wide.
