Miles Overview
The 2012 RAV4 is Toyota's compact SUV, a practical pick for small families and commuters alike. It steers easily and has a small blind spot, making lane changes and city driving feel effortless. The cabin is roomy front and back, with a big trunk and a rear gate that swings open rather than lifting up. Some owners mention annoying squeaks and recall parts that took months to get, so check service history. The Limited is the top trim, so you get leather upholstery and a sunroof that the Sport and Standard skip, but you pay for it. With the optional 3.5L V6 making 269 horsepower and a four-speed automatic, this RAV4 pulls hard from a stop and cruises easily at highway speeds, though it's only front-wheel drive. The Limited's available JBL audio system with a subwoofer is the only way to get premium sound in this generation RAV4.
