Miles Overview
The RAV4 is Toyota's compact SUV, a practical choice that competes with the Honda CR-V and Ford Escape. It drives with a solid, stable feel and responds well to steering inputs, making it easy to maneuver around town. The cabin is roomy and versatile, with a rear door that swings open and seats that fold flat for hauling large items. Some owners mention annoying squeaks over time, and the side-opening rear door can be tricky in tight parking spots. The Standard trim gives you the 2.5L four-cylinder and front-wheel drive, skipping the V6 and all-wheel drive you can get on the Limited or Sport. Its 2.5L I4 makes 179 horsepower and works with a four-speed automatic, which feels smooth in traffic but can hunt for gears on steeper grades. Fuel economy is a strong point for this setup, with the EPA rating it at 24 mpg combined.
