Miles Overview
The RX 350 is Lexus's midsize luxury SUV, the one most people cross-shop with the BMW X5 and Audi Q5. It's a smooth, quiet cruiser that glides over pavement, though it's not the sharpest handler in its class. Inside, you get a plush, well-built cabin with comfortable seats and generous space for five, plus a useful cargo area. The infotainment system uses a touchpad controller that takes some getting used to, but the standard safety suite is comprehensive. Standard front-wheel drive and a 3.5L V6 with 290 horsepower define the Base RX 350, the entry point that skips the F Sport's sharper looks and the Luxury's extra leather. The 3.5L V6 and eight-speed automatic deliver smooth, linear power, and with front-wheel drive it returns 23 mpg combined. What you give up with the Base trim is the adaptive suspension and sport-tuned steering available on the F Sport, so expect a softer, more comfort-oriented ride.
