Miles Overview
The Grand Marquis is Mercury's full-size rear-drive sedan, the cushy American cruiser that shares its bones with the Ford Crown Victoria. It wafts down the road with a soft, floaty ride that soaks up bumps, though the steering feels vague and the body leans in corners. The cabin is spacious with a huge trunk, and the bench seats are plush enough for long trips. The LS is the well-equipped base trim, adding power windows, locks, and mirrors over the stripped fleet-spec version sold to taxi companies. Its 4.6L V8 makes 224 horsepower and pairs with a automatic transmission for effortless, relaxed cruising, returning 19 mpg combined.
