Miles Overview
The MKX is Lincoln's mid-size crossover, the cushioned cousin to the Ford Edge with a plusher cabin and more standard luxury gear. The cabin is genuinely spacious, with comfortable heated and cooled seats, and the front passenger seat folds flat to haul long items. Owners mention the transmission can lurch as miles add up, and some have dealt with a recalled fuel tank or sunroof that needs periodic lubrication. The MKX comes in one well-equipped trim, so you get the same luxury gear whether you pick front- or all-wheel drive. Its 3.5L V6 makes 256 horsepower and pairs with a six-speed automatic, which feels smooth and quiet around town but can hunt for gears on highway grades. This AWD version adds confidence in rain and light snow, though it drops fuel economy to 18 mpg combined.
