Miles Overview
The 1990 Wrangler is the classic off-road icon, built to tackle mud, snow, and rocks without hesitation. It's slow on the highway and the ride is choppy, but that's the trade for a machine that can go anywhere you point it. The cabin is basic and loud at speed, especially with the soft top, but the simplicity makes it easy to fix and customize. Owners love the rugged durability, the strong 4WD system, and how easy it is to work on with cheap, interchangeable parts. Fender flares, body-color bumpers, and a nicer cloth interior set the Sahara apart from the base Wrangler and Islander trims. The torquey 4.2L inline-six and four-wheel drive make it a capable crawler, but it's not quick on pavement. The Sahara's standard hardtop gives you better weather sealing and security than the soft-top models, though it's heavier to remove.
