Miles Overview
The 2006 Civic is Honda's compact car, offered as a coupe or sedan, and it's the model that made the brand's name for efficiency and value. It's a light, nimble car that feels eager in corners, though the base engine is modest and you'll want the Si if you're after real punch. The cabin is roomy up front with a wide, airy feel, but the backseat is tight and the coupe's rear quarters are especially snug. Owners report the Civic as a dependable daily driver, with only minor rattles and trim bits wearing over time. The Si is the hot version of the 2006 Civic, sitting above the LX and EX with a more powerful engine, a sport-tuned suspension, and a limited-slip differential you won't find on the others. Its 2.0L I4 makes 197 horsepower and pairs with a six-speed manual, sending power to the front wheels for a lively, rev-happy driving experience that rewards shifting yourself. The Si's helical limited-slip differential helps put that power down through corners, making it a genuinely sharp front-drive car that feels more planted than the standard Civics.
