Miles Overview
The 2018 Civic is Honda's compact contender, offered as a sedan, coupe, or hatchback to take on the Corolla, Sentra, and Mazda3. The Civic drives with a composed, planted feel, and the turbocharged models add a welcome punch of mid-range torque. Inside, the Civic offers a modern, driver-focused cabin with comfortable seats and a spacious back seat for the class. Honda Sensing, including collision mitigation braking and lane keeping assist, is available on many trims, and a touchscreen infotainment system is standard. Honda's reputation for dependability carries over to the Civic, though some owners note the continuously variable transmission can be a weak point. Its 1.5L I4 makes 174 horsepower and pairs with a six-speed manual, which lets you work the boost yourself and returns 35 mpg combined. The EX-T coupe adds a moonroof, fog lights, and a rear spoiler that the base LX doesn't get, plus Honda LaneWatch for blind-spot help.
