Miles Overview
The 2005 Civic is Honda's compact car, sold as a coupe, sedan, or hatchback, and it's the model most people cross-shop with the Corolla and Sentra. It's not quick, but the Civic feels light and nimble, with a turning radius that makes parking and U-turns a breeze. The cabin is roomier than the exterior suggests, though the backseat is tight in coupe form and some interior bits show wear with age. Reliability is the Civic's strong suit, with owners reporting few issues beyond routine maintenance and the occasional worn-out strut or alternator. The 2005 Civic LX is the mid-range sedan, with fabric seats and a few more standard features than the base VP, like a CD player and keyless entry. It runs a 1.7L I4 producing 115 horsepower and 110 lb-ft of torque, paired with a four-speed automatic, and you get 29 mpg combined on regular gas.
