Miles Overview
The 2016 Equinox is a compact crossover that slots between the Trax and the Traverse, offering a roomy five-passenger cabin and a choice of front- or all-wheel drive. The Equinox rides smoothly and handles predictably, though the base engine can feel sluggish when merging onto highways. Inside, the cabin is quiet and roomy, with a sliding rear seat that expands cargo space and easy-to-use controls with plenty of USB ports. Its 2.4L I4 makes 182 horsepower and pairs with a six-speed automatic, which is adequate around town but needs a firm foot on the throttle for highway merging.
