Miles Overview
The Terrain is GMC's compact SUV, the one you'll cross-shop with the Ford Escape and Honda CR-V. It rides smoothly and quietly, and the cabin stays hushed even at highway speeds, which makes long trips easy. The rear seats slide fore and aft and fold flat, so you can fit a surprising amount of gear in the back. Owners mention the lack of rear air vents, which can leave back-seat passengers warm in summer and cold in winter. Leather upholstery, heated front seats, and a bigger touchscreen set the SLT apart from the SLE trims below it. Its 3.6L I6 makes the SLT quicker than the four-cylinder models, returning 20 mpg combined in front-wheel-drive form.
