Miles Overview
The 2019 Silverado 1500 LD is a full-size pickup that slots below the redesigned Silverado 1500, offering a more traditional body style and proven capability. It competes with the Ford F-150, Ram 1500, and Toyota Tundra in the full-size truck segment. The Silverado 1500 LD drives with a smooth, confident feel on the highway, and its steering is well-weighted for a truck of this size. The ride is composed over most surfaces, though the rear axle can feel firm when the bed is empty. The cabin offers a straightforward layout with durable materials, and the available crew cab provides generous rear-seat space. The LT Z71 sits above the standard LT and 2LT trims, adding off-road hardware like hill descent control and an automatic locking rear differential. Its 5.3L I8 pairs with an {automatic transmission} and {four-wheel drive}, giving you confident traction on loose surfaces and a towing capacity that matches the Silverado's work-truck roots. The Z71 package also brings a unique off-road suspension tune and skid plates, so you can expect a slightly firmer ride on pavement for better control on the trail.
