Miles Overview
The 2024 Silverado 3500HD is Chevrolet's heavy-duty workhorse, a full-size truck built for serious towing and hauling duty. It competes head-to-head with the Ford F-350 Super Duty and Ram 3500, all vying for the same heavy-towing buyers. The ride is firm and truck-like, as expected from a heavy-duty model, but the steering is surprisingly direct for its size. Cabin space is generous, especially in crew cab configurations, and the High Country trim adds upscale leather and tech. The LT is the middle-ground trim for the 3500HD, and it's the one most buyers choose for the right balance of features and work-ready practicality over the Work Truck. Its 6.6L V8 makes 401 horsepower and 464 lb-ft of torque, backed by a ten-speed automatic and four-wheel drive, so it pulls heavy trailers without breaking a sweat. You can add the available Max Trailering Package, which brings a higher-capacity hitch and integrated trailer brake controller for easier hookups.
