Miles Overview
The Monte Carlo is Chevy's front-wheel-drive coupe, a two-door take on the Impala that shares its platform and most of its parts. It's a comfortable cruiser that eats up highway miles, and the SS trim adds a firmer suspension for a bit more cornering grip. The cabin is roomy for a coupe, with a wide bench-style front seat and a trunk that swallows a surprising amount of luggage. Chevy parts are cheap and plentiful, so keeping a Monte Carlo on the road won't strain your budget. The SS sits above the LS, adding a firmer suspension and a more powerful engine for a sportier feel. Its 3.8L V6 pairs with a automatic transmission to deliver smooth, effortless power for merging and passing. The SS's tauter suspension keeps body roll in check, though you'll feel bumps more on rough pavement.
