Miles Overview
The 2012 Impala is Chevrolet's full-size sedan, the one you cross-shop with the Toyota Avalon and Ford Taurus. It's a smooth, easy cruiser with a soft ride, and the steering is light enough for relaxed city driving. The cabin is roomy with a huge trunk, and the seats are comfortable for long trips. Owners report few problems, though a recall for tail light seals could let moisture into the trunk. The LS shares the same 3.6L V6 and 300 horsepower as the LT and LTZ, so you don't give up any power by choosing it. Its 3.6L V6 makes 300 horsepower and pairs with a six-speed automatic, giving it plenty of punch for merging and passing on the highway.
