Miles Overview
The 2015 Camaro is Chevrolet's muscle car, sold as a coupe or convertible and aimed squarely at the Ford Mustang and Dodge Challenger. It rides on a stiff platform that keeps body roll in check, so you can hustle it down a back road with confidence. The cabin feels snug, and the high beltline and small windows make it tough to see out, but the front seats are supportive and the backseat is roomier than a Mustang's. Owners report that the convertible top can leak on earlier models, and the stock tires wear quickly, so budget for replacements. Heated leather seats and the upgraded audio system mark out the 2SS from the 1SS, while keeping the same V8 power. Its 6.2L I8 makes 426 horsepower and 420 lb-ft of torque, and the six-speed automatic shifts smoothly enough for daily driving but snaps off quick downshifts when you want them. Chevy rated this coupe at 19 mpg combined, which is typical for a V8 muscle car, and the dual-mode exhaust lets you quiet it down for the neighbors.
