Miles Overview
The Impala is Chevrolet's full-size sedan, a roomy front-drive cruiser that competes with the Toyota Avalon and Ford Taurus. It's a relaxed highway companion, and the ride stays smooth and quiet even on rough pavement. The cabin is genuinely spacious, with enough headroom and legroom for three six-foot-plus adults in the back seat. Some owners have had the A/C evaporator fail, and the infotainment screen can be slow to wake up on startup. Stepping up from the Impala 1LS gets you a bigger engine, more standard equipment, and a nicer interior in the LT or Premier. Its 2.5L I4 automatic transmission paired with front-wheel drive handles daily driving just fine, though highway passing takes a little planning. The trade-off for the 1LS's lower price is basic cloth seats and a simpler infotainment system, so you're giving up a few comforts.
