Miles Overview
The F-150 is Ford's full-size pickup, the one that sets the benchmark for half-ton trucks in America. It pulls trailers and heavy loads without breaking a sweat, and the V8s have the muscle to get the job done. The cab is roomy, with a full back seat in SuperCab models and handy storage behind the seats. Expect some brake and ABS light issues, and spark plugs that may need attention more often than you'd like. The XL is the work-spec F-150, so you get a vinyl floor and manual crank windows rather than the XLT's cloth seats and power windows. This one has the 5.4L V8 making 235 horsepower paired with an automatic transmission and four-wheel drive, which gives it real grunt for towing and off-road use. The XL's no-frills cabin means less to break, and the four-wheel drive adds capability without the cost of a higher trim.
