Miles Overview
The Edge is Ford's five-seat midsize crossover, a step up from the Escape and a common pick for families who want more room without moving to a three-row SUV. It drives with a planted, confident feel, and the steering is nicely weighted, so it's easy to place on the road. The ride is smooth and well controlled, and the front seats are supportive, which makes long trips easy. Inside, there's generous space for four adults, and the rear seat fits three car seats across without a fight. The SEL adds the SYNC system with a larger touchscreen and satellite radio over the SE, plus standard alloy wheels. Under the hood is a 3.5L V6 paired with a six-speed automatic, and with front-wheel drive it returns 21 mpg combined.
