Miles Overview
The 2018 Ford Edge is a midsize two-row SUV that slots between the compact Escape and the three-row Explorer in Ford's lineup. It competes with the Nissan Murano, Honda Passport, and Jeep Grand Cherokee, offering a blend of style and utility. The Edge drives with a confident, planted feel, and the available V6 gives it strong passing power without feeling twitchy. Ride quality is smooth and composed on most surfaces, though the Sport trim's larger wheels make it firmer. Inside, the Edge offers a roomy cabin with generous front legroom and a spacious cargo area behind the second row. Its 2.7L V6 makes 315 horsepower and 350 lb-ft of torque, giving it real punch for passing and merging, though it returns 20 mpg combined.
