Miles Overview
The Edge is Ford's five-passenger crossover, a roomier alternative to the Escape with a more car-like feel. It drives smoothly and picks up speed readily, making it easy to merge and pass on the highway. Inside, there's generous space for five, and the rear seats fold flat to open up a large cargo area. Some owners have noted issues like warped rotors, sticking accelerators, and finicky electronics as the car ages. The base price and cloth seats mark the SE as the entry point, sitting below the SEL and Limited trims. Its 3.5L V6 makes 265 horsepower and pairs with a six-speed automatic, giving the Edge confident highway passing power. The SE sticks with front-wheel drive and 17-inch steel wheels, so you get a simpler, lighter crossover that rides softly.
