The Town & Country is Chrysler's minivan, the one you cross-shop with the Honda Odyssey and Toyota Sienna when you need three rows and sliding doors. It drives with a smooth, unhurried feel that suits family hauling, and the ride stays composed over most roads, though it's not what you'd call sporty. Inside, the cabin is roomy and practical, with Stow 'n Go seats that fold flat into the floor and plenty of cubbies for everyday gear. The available rear-seat entertainment and built-in vacuum are handy touches for long trips with kids. The Touring is the no-frills entry, skipping the Touring-L's power liftgate and leather seats to keep the price down while keeping the same V6 and Stow 'n Go seats. Its 3.6L V6 makes 283 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque, routed through a six-speed automatic to the front wheels, which is enough for highway merging but returns 20 mpg combined in mixed driving.
