Miles Overview
The 2016 Challenger is a rear-drive muscle coupe that leans hard on its 1970s styling, competing with the Mustang and Camaro. The Challenger drives with a heavy, planted feel and strong straight-line acceleration, though its size shows in tight corners. The cabin is roomy for four adults, with a large trunk and comfortable seats, but rear visibility is limited by small windows. Owners report few major mechanical issues, though some note a V6 alternator recall and higher tire and maintenance costs. The R/T Scat Pack borrows the SRT 392's 6.4L V8 and brakes but stays well below its price, giving up adaptive suspension and a few cabin upgrades. The Scat Pack comes with a standard performance suspension and Brembo brakes, so it stops and turns harder than the R/T without needing the SRT 392's price.
