2011 Chrysler 300 Limited

The 300 is Chrysler's big rear-drive sedan, the one you cross-shop with a Toyota Avalon or a Buick LaCrosse if you want a roomy American cruiser. It's a smooth, quiet highway car with a commanding ride, and the rear-drive layout gives it a planted feel, though it can get slippery in snow. The cabin is genuinely spacious, with comfortable seats and a huge trunk that swallows large loads, and the cabin stays quiet at speed. Owners mention a few quirks like dim base headlights and a water pump that may hum and need replacing, but the engine and transmission hold up well. Stepping up to the Limited adds the Pentastar V6 over the base engine, plus nicer wheels and a more premium interior than the Touring. The 3.6L V6 makes 292 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque, and with the five-speed automatic and rear-wheel drive it's a relaxed highway cruiser that gets 21 mpg combined. The Limited can be had with Chrysler's Uconnect touchscreen and a Boston Acoustics sound system, which were good upgrades for the era.
