2006 Dodge Charger R/T

The 2006 Charger is Dodge's full-size sedan, the one that brought the muscle-car name back as a four-door. It's a big car that hustles, with quick acceleration and a ride that soaks up bumps without feeling floaty. The cabin is genuinely roomy, with plenty of legroom front and back and a large trunk for luggage or groceries. Owners mention sensitive traction sensors that can kick the transmission into high gear and burn extra gas. The R/T swaps the SE's V6 for a 5.7L Hemi V8, which means 340 horsepower and a real muscle-car soundtrack. It's rear-wheel drive with a five-speed automatic, and the Hemi's cylinder deactivation helps it return 18 mpg combined on regular fuel.
