Miles Overview
The 2016 Passat is Volkswagen's mid-size sedan, a roomy family hauler that goes up against the Camry and Accord. It rides smoothly and feels planted on the highway, with a quiet cabin that makes long trips easy. The interior is genuinely spacious, with a huge trunk and plenty of legroom for rear passengers. Owners often mention the comfortable seats and the roomy back seat, which make it a favorite for road trips. The SEL is the top choice for buyers who want the full list of luxury features, skipping the V6 power of the SEL Premium. Its 1.8L I4 makes 170 horsepower and pairs with a six-speed automatic, delivering 38 mpg highway on the highway for easy cruising. Only the SEL adds standard leather seats and a sunroof, giving it a more upscale feel inside.
