Miles Overview
The 2016 Passat is Volkswagen's mid-size sedan, a roomy family hauler that goes up against the Camry and Accord. It rides smoothly and feels planted on the highway, with a quiet cabin that makes long trips easy. The interior is genuinely spacious, with a huge trunk and plenty of legroom for rear passengers. Owners often mention the comfortable seats and the roomy back seat, which make it a favorite for road trips. The 1.8T S is the base Passat, so you skip the SE's extra comforts but keep the same 1.8L I4 and automatic transmission. Its 1.8L I4 makes 170 horsepower and pairs with an automatic transmission to deliver smooth, efficient front-wheel drive driving. The S trim keeps things simple with cloth seats and a basic infotainment screen, which is fine if you just want a solid, affordable sedan.
