Miles Overview
The 2015 Passat is VW's mid-size sedan, the one that gives you a big back seat and trunk without moving up to a full-size car. On the road it feels planted and stable, and the steering is smooth and direct, making highway miles easy. The ride is comfortable and quiet, and the front seats have good lumbar support, which helps on long trips. Inside, the cabin is roomy, with a spacious back seat and a large trunk, though the front seats could be a bit wider. The Limited Edition is the value pick, adding alloy wheels and a touchscreen radio over the base S without the SE's extra convenience features. Its 1.8L I4 makes 170 horsepower and pairs with a six-speed automatic, which is smooth and shifts at the right time for daily driving. You get 36 mpg highway on the highway, which is genuinely good for a mid-size sedan that doesn't use a diesel.
