Miles Overview
The 2021 Passat is Volkswagen's mid-size sedan, a roomy, straightforward alternative to the Accord and Camry. It's tuned for comfort rather than sport, so the ride stays smooth and the steering is light around town. The cabin is genuinely spacious, with a big back seat and a trunk that swallows luggage easily. Owners like the comfortable seats and roomy interior, and they report few problems in the first years of ownership. A lower base price and manual air conditioning set the S apart from the SE and R Line trims above it, but you still get the same 2.0L I4 engine. Its 2.0L I4 makes 174 horsepower, and with the six-speed automatic and front-wheel drive, the S returns 28 mpg combined.
