Miles Overview
The 2023 Atlas is Volkswagen's three-row family SUV, sized to take on the Honda Pilot and Toyota Highlander. The Atlas feels more agile than its size suggests, with light steering that makes it easy to maneuver in town. The ride is composed on the highway, though the suspension is tuned firm to keep body motions in check. Inside, the Atlas offers generous space for seven or eight, with a straightforward dashboard and plenty of cubbies. Standard IQ.DRIVE brings adaptive cruise control and lane keeping to every Atlas, and the touchscreen is easy to use. The SE is the base Atlas, skipping the V6 and some interior trim for a lower starting price than the SEL or V6 SE w/ Technology. This SE uses the 2.0L I4 making 235 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque, paired with the eight-speed automatic and front-wheel drive, which returns an EPA-rated 23 mpg combined. The SE still gets standard IQ.DRIVE safety tech, though you give up the V6's extra punch and the SEL's leather upholstery to keep the price down.
