Miles Overview
The 2023 Atlas is Volkswagen's three-row family SUV, sized to take on the Honda Pilot and Toyota Highlander. The Atlas feels more agile than its size suggests, with light steering that makes it easy to maneuver in town. The ride is composed on the highway, though the suspension is tuned firm to keep body motions in check. Inside, the Atlas offers generous space for seven or eight, with a straightforward dashboard and plenty of cubbies. Standard IQ.DRIVE brings adaptive cruise control and lane keeping to every Atlas, and the touchscreen is easy to use. Stepping up to the SEL adds adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go, a heated steering wheel, and power-adjustable front seats with memory. The SEL's available 3.6L I6 makes 276 horsepower and pairs with all-wheel drive and an eight-speed automatic, delivering confident passing power on the highway.
