Miles Overview
The 2025 Atlas Cross Sport is a five-seat, coupe-styled SUV that slots between the standard Atlas and the smaller Tiguan in VW's lineup. It competes with the Honda Passport, Ford Edge, and Chevrolet Blazer, offering a roomier cabin than most in this class. The turbo four provides smooth, responsive acceleration around town, and the steering feels light and easy to maneuver. The ride is composed on highways, though the sportier R-Line trims trade a bit of comfort for sharper handling. Inside, the cabin is quiet and well-built, with comfortable seats and generous rear legroom for a five-passenger SUV. A larger infotainment screen and heated front seats set the SEL apart from the SE W Technology below it. The 2.0L I4 makes 269 horsepower and 273 lb-ft of torque, routed through an eight-speed automatic to all-wheel drive; around town it feels responsive, and the transmission shifts smoothly. This trim comes with VW's adaptive cruise control and lane-keeping as standard, though the ride on 20-inch wheels is a bit firm over sharp bumps.
