Miles Overview
The Frontier is Nissan's mid-size pickup, a straightforward workhorse that competes with the Tacoma and Colorado. It's a truck that feels honest and capable, with a ride that's a bit firm but composed on the highway. The cabin is functional but dated, with a back seat that's snug for adults and cloth seats that stain easily. Owners mention the gas mileage is thirsty for a mid-size, and a few have had minor electrical gremlins early on. The SV is the volume model in the Frontier lineup, and this one has the fuel-sipping four-cylinder instead of the V6 you get in the PRO-4X. Its 2.5L I4 makes 152 horsepower and pairs with a five-speed automatic driving the rear wheels, which is adequate for around-town duty but feels strained on the highway. Fuel economy is 19 mpg combined, so you'll be visiting the pump more often than you would in a Tacoma four-cylinder.
